There is very little gender dimorphism in Lament humans but a wide range of body types, so a woman may be hulking and sideburned while a man can be born delicate and comely. No matter how slight they may be, a human has a proportionally high body density which helps them store seemingly limitless amounts of energy—and causes them to sink like a stone in the water. On average, humans have a species tendency towards rougher, more bestial features, which are often worked into the beauty standards of the local culture. The average human is strong with extremely high stamina. They can perform grueling tasks for hours on end with little rest, and many gravitate towards mining, logging, or pulling stone from the quarry. Their above average health combined with their sheer bulk allows them to take more punishment than most other species. Humans are not very flexible, however, being limited by their muscle mass. While a bit lacking in intelligence, they are surprisingly intuitive; in fact, humans have a higher than normal aptitude for magic, which sometimes results in plagues of witches. Most humans tend to be found in Kungesvald, with smaller but noticeable populations in Aiseweg and Loa Saray.

Humans are tall, hardy folk often found in colder climes; whether their features are harsh or fair, they always have a feral cast to them. Sharp teeth, a piercing lupine gaze, and thicker, more fur-like body hair are all common human traits. Lament humans run the gamut of flesh tones, from nearly black to lily white, but most tend to have ruddy or copper skin and medium-to-dark hair. The average human has eyes in some shade of brown, with the occasional case of green, gray, or blue.
