A menhit of Salvation sights her target. A menhit is a bestial creature that most closely resembles a bipedal hunting cat, though the vast majority resent being compared to said animals. They have tails, digitigrade legs, and sharp claws. A menhit has long, black ears which they can freely move and rotate; their faces are humanoid, tending towards tufted chins and knife-blade noses. In addition to the hair on their heads, menhit also sport coats of short fur in various shades of grays, yellows, and tans. Their eyes tend towards golds and reds.

Menhit have cheetah-like "tear marks" leading from their eyes to the corners of their mouths, though how noticeable they are varies by individual. Their fur is often patterned with subtle color points like faint spots or forehead blazes. Male menhit can grow their facial fur into the approximation of a short beard or moustache.

Menhit are swift, nimble, and have a reputation for hardheadedness. While they are approximately as strong as a human, a menhit competing on even terms with one would tire long before their opponent; menhit are ambush hunters and sprinters, not endurance athletes. The lack of manual dexterity caused by their claws is a handicap many learn to live with. They are particularly suited to tasks that require detailed work over long periods of time, such as weaving, sculpting, and metalworking, though the latter is quite exhausting due to their slight frames. Scouts, warriors, trappers, and shepherds all count a respectable number of menhit among their ranks.

Currently the highest concentration of menhit in the world can be found in Salvation, followed by Liidhaga and Kungesvald.
