Average Weight: 94kg/207 lbs.
A dhaja (dhaa-zhaa) is a tall, hairless biped with a noticeable lack of head or body hair; they typically sport gangly builds with slight potbellies. They have elongated facial features which can run the gamut from a narrow simian face to a snout like a camel or tapir. Dhajas have long necks, longer limbs, and thick, hooflike nails. They come in a variety of earth tones as well as black, white, and shades of gray. Most dhajas have minimal muscle tone, which is usually only noticeable in those in more physical trades.
Dhajas' strengths include:
- Intelligent. A dhaja has a naturally sharp mind that can process and absorb information quickly, though this doesn't necessarily mean they have the common sense to go with it.
- Eagle-Eyed. The average dhaja can see for extraordinary distances so long as their view is unobstructed by darkness or terrain. It also gives them something of an edge with ranged weaponry.
- Natural Swimmers. Given proper training, dhajas are able to swim well and quickly, and can also hold their breath for longer.
Their weaknesses include:
- Misfortunate. Dhajas have incredibly poor auras, making them very susceptible to supernatural effects as well as generally unluckier on average than other species.
- Fragile. Though hardly decrepit, the typical dhaja cannot take a lot of punishment, and may end up taken out of a close-quarters situation faster than others if they can't avoid an enemy's blows.
- Night-Blind. A dhaja requires a lot of light to see, especially at night or in enclosed spaces.
Finally, they have the following miscellaneous traits:
- Herbivorous. Dhajas can eat meat, but they gain no nutritional value from it; they must consume things like bread, vegetables, or fruit to remain healthy.
- Storm-Touched. Dhajas are slightly attuned to weather and their bodies are partially insulated against lightning; to a much lesser degree, they are untroubled by static buildup.
